The City of Edinburgh Council’s People Strategy for 2024–27 covers five workforce themes:

  • attracting talent
  • developing leaders
  • fostering equality
  • diversity and inclusion
  • growing and retaining staff, and
  • supporting wellbeing

It sets out specific commitments under each theme and references an accompanying action plan with KPIs. The Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) theme includes commitments to named equality accreditations and anti-discriminatory workplace culture.
